You want Bill numbers and book titles, right? Here’s a VERY abbreviated list just for NC. NCH43-a proposed bill to make all gender affirming care illegal for minors. NCH574-a bill that passed. It prohibits trans women from competing in sports in North Carolina. NCH808-another bill that passed outlawing any form of gender transition for minors. There are more bills proposed and that have passed. That’s just in NC. Books banned or challenged in NC? Lawn Boy, Melissa, Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, All Boys Aren’t Blue, Gender Queer, March, Stamped. Just a fraction of the books banned or challenged in just NC. That last one, Stamped, was removed from a school curriculum after ONE PARENT complained that it made their child feel guilty and uncomfortable for being white. Most have LGBTQ+ themes, but some got banned for sheer racism. Look these up. I’d say I’ll wait, but I won’t hold my breath.
