So here’s one of the problems with an anonymous forum. I wrote the followup post you are responding to but I am not the person who wrote what you are quoting extensively. And even if I was it still does mean or follow that anyone needs to, has to or should quote you bills or laws to make their point just because you are confused enough to think so or are trying to convince others they should be confused. Defining gaslighting in print and recognizing it by the distorted logic that makes you believe anyone can or should make their point by your criteria are different things. So I repeat: If all you see is gaslighting in a discussion of book banning, 1) read AND UNDERSTAND the definition of gaslighting cause if you are not misinformed about what it is by definition you’re either participating in gaslighting or you’re the victim of it by someone who is not me or the original person talking about book banning 2) (again) stop reading the propaganda that tells you concern about book banning is propaganda, 3) (again) understand there are no bill numbers associated with book banning, only policies and processes put in place at various state and local levels that enable it or make everyone from teachers to librarians waste their time responding to the attempts to ban books and ruin the reputations of those who want to keep them accessible.
