Nancy Jayne Webb passed away at the age of 91 on January 1, 2024, in her daughter’s home in Dacula, GA.
Nancy was born in Asbury Park, NJ on March 25, 1932, daughter to Joseph P. Davison and Mercedes Jayne Hankins. Nancy was married to Elmer “Gene” Webb, on September 18, 1952.
Nancy was a devoted mother of 4 daughters with a love for dogs, especially, German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers.
Nancy was especially gifted in making beautiful quilts and cross stitch tablecloths. Nancy was a talented seamstress who made baby clothes, clothes for her daughters and herself. She was a master at knitting sweaters, baby clothes, Afghans, and throws. She enjoyed nurturing a magnificent rose garden of which she was very proud.
Nancy and Gene built their Burnsville, NC dream home in 2000. They loved the beautiful mountain views and the local charm, hospitality and giving spirit of the community.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Webb, Cheryl Sivils, Nancy Mauldin and Linda Pursley, sons-in-law Scott Sivils and Carl Mauldin, grandchildren Joshua Sivils, Stephanie Sivils, David Sivils and Jessica Williams, great grandchildren Charlotte Eliose Williams and Elijay Gene Williams.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Elmer “Gene” Webb, sister, Roxanne Baumgartner, father and mother, Joseph, and Mercedes Davison.
Services will be held on January 11, 2024, at 2 pm in the Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 501 East Main Street, Burnsville, NC 28714, preceded by a 1 pm visitation.
A private family grave side memorial will follow.
