I have frequented libraries all over the country including rural mountain places and have always noticed for many, many, many years that display of any kind prominent or not and how it is done is largely a function of space. When patrons have been given the impression that some books are not or should not be available those books are often made visible to dispel that myth. I don’t support banning books; if someone wants to read those books which I may not have an interest in or may not even consider great works of literature or science those people, including teens, have to know they are there. I find it disappointing that that posters in this forum go out of their way to disparage employees of the library doing their job. The definition of pornography includes an intention to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings or scientific understanding. If you are stimulated by these books intended for teens, seek professional help.
