So here’s what I wrote and stand by, annotated: I wish everyone would get off anonymous forums altogether in the year ahead and engage with others, do things, share with others and, if they have the capacity and will, work together to solve problems in our community. (The implication there is that if everyone in this country would spend the time they use on anonymous forums doing those other things we’d have a stronger country and community and a better chance at solving problems in our community.) That would doubtless make for happier people in a happier community. It’s harder to have hate and animosity toward people with whom you engage in person. Vote and talk to others about voting and why, just do it in person, face to face. Be involved in productive ways. Sure, people change, minds change, including about voting, just not in a productive way on anonymous forums. Personally, I’ll be working for peaceful and safe communities for all our neighbors, near and far. …and responding on this anonymous forum to negative things, politics, hate, etc., when that is appropriate. I hope I have nothing to respond to. (Unfortunately that has not been the case and I have indeed been responding to misinformation, disinformation, and inaccuracy that promotes division, negativity, hate etc., in addition to working for peaceful and safe communities for all our neighbors, near and far.)
