Thelma Janeen Hughes, 87, of Canton, passed away on January 7, 2024.
She was born on December 12, 1936 to the late Carl and Nancy Riggle Cseak of Cleveland, OH.
Janeen was a graduate of Timken High School. She had worked as a secretary for many companies and then lastly with The Department of Jobs and Family Services in NC. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Fellowship. She was dedicated to her Lord, children, grandchildren, other family and her church.
Janeen is survived by her loving children; Terry C. (Missy) Hughes, Jerry C. (Chris) Hughes, and Deborah (Dale) Calloway; a brother; Carl A. (Janet) Cseak; grandchildren; Jeremy, Adrianne, Sharon, Tiffany, Bethany, Stephany , Joshua, and Holley; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Hughes; 2nd husband Ted Burleson; daughter, Sharon K. Hughes; siblings, Joan Edwards, Barbara Wilson, Richard “Dick” Cseak, and Thomas Cseak.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio and on Sunday January 14, 2024 from 2pm-3pm at the Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist, Newland, NC with funeral services at 3pm with Pastor Dale Calloway officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
