Guy Miller, age 76, of Samuel Quinn Trail in Spruce Pine, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on May 25, 1947 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Howard and Melba Young Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, George Miller and his sisters; Judy Hughes, Janice Strange, Joy Ann Frye and Jeanette Letterman.
Guy was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from Unimin Corporation. He enjoyed riding his dune buggy and was a fan of Nascar racing. He also enjoyed camping, working in his yard and garden and spending time with his lifelong friend, James Miller.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons; Allen Miller and wife, Michelle of Bakersville and Andy Miller of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren; Mitchell Miller, Madison, Gabriel and Samuel Miller; his sister; Joyce Stamey of Shelby; several nieces and nephews.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Bear Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Bear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Cannon and Rev. Dale Buchanan officiating. Interment will be in the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
