Donavon was a graduate of Mountain Heritage High School and served in the US Marine Corp. He worked as the Manager of Crown Rentals in Spruce Pine for sixteen years, he was always willing to lend a helping hand, he was a great mentor, artist and liked making tie-dye shirts.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother Deborah Hardin Meade of Spruce Pine, his son Dean Meade of Burnsville, brothers, Allen Ray of Burnsville, Jerry Lee Meade of Elizabeth City, NC and Walter Wesley Meade of Burnsville and a sister, Angela Meade of Spruce Pine.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday January 25, 2024, at the Berry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to Webb Funeral Home 128 Roan Road, Spruce Pine NC 28777 to help with funeral expenses.
