Western Carolina University has a program which accepts human remains for its body farm. Those remains are used to train cadaver dogs & forensics anthropoglists. As a final act of giving back one can sign up by contacting WCU. There’s a nominal cost associated however as the body must be delivered to WCU…a local undertaker can handle that.
