Gail Parker Spooner, age 73, of Ridgewood Lane in Newland, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, NC.
Born on March 13, 1950 in Belle Glade, FL, she was the daughter of the late George and Eleanor Everett Parker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Keith Parker.
Gail was a member of the Crossnore First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church events. She also enjoyed playing the piano and all musical instruments, arts, and crafts. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing and bird watching.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Lacy Logan and husband, Chris; Tom Spooner and wife, Laurie; and Scot Spooner; her grandchildren; Luke, Chloe, Seth, Jacob, Addison, Hadley, and Everly. Other surviving family members include; Mildred and Fred Krei, Hope Brooks, Parker Krei, Alexander Brooks, and Mason Garza.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Crossnore First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremiah Parker officiating.
