Yes, of course, I know, can’t say what anyone else knows that gun store purchases are regulated. Better enforcement is needed. But do you have any idea how many guns I have been offered for private sale in the last month? Do you have any idea how many unregulated avenues of purchase there are? Let’s all play by the same rules. Has your research tracked the source of guns used in crimes or for people to commit suicide or in domestic violence? How many were obtained with a loophole? How many were purchased legally with a loophole that can be shut down or have full enforcement? Check it out. When you’re through with that check out all the information on the need for quality mental health care and the things we can do about that. Talk to members of our trained law enforcement community working to shut down the illegal drug trade and see what they can share with you about that. We need more quality and accessible addiction treatment, too. There are no silver bullets. All of the above all at once, don’t use one thing to avoid having to do the other.
