John Chandler Edwards, age 78, of Hughes Gap Road in the Buladean Community, passed away on Sunday, February 18th, 2024 at John H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center.
A native of Los Angeles, California, he was a son of the late John Chandler Edwards, Sr. and Adlerose Martin Edwards. He was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
John was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era, where he was an officer and helicopter pilot. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration which he earned from the University of Plano in Texas. He later became a licensed contractor who built custom homes, remodeled homes in Arizona, and also did marketing and advertising for a carpet company.
Surviving is his loving wife of 32 years, Marlene Edwards, and other surviving family; Patricia Caughron (David) of Buladean and Larry Dean Street (Temple) of Hughes Gap, as well as many cousins.
