While most people in Yancey County are furious about the new property tax values. The property values couldn’t do anything else but go up for the increased sales prices of property, the numerous properties bought by Yancey County and/or gifted to Yancey County that’s exempt from taxable value. Also, the amount of property that was sold to 130 of Chatham then once after it was sold 130 of Chatham then deeded those properties to the United States Forest Service as a conservancy effort then those properties in turn are tax exempt.
Come on? Don’t you think about things like this are going to have these sorts of effects?
