I dare say most parents who have children who participate in youth league sports don’t have any illusions they will be contenders for professional sports. It’s been many years since my children participated, but in sports as in life, they were encouraged to do their best, play fair and most of all be a team player. All good lessons for life, not to mention getting exercise and socializing instead of dancing on TikTok. Neither of mine played professional sports, but both are successful professionals. No need to demean parents who didn’t “make it past high school”! They only want better for their offspring and I applaud them. My parents never made it past elementary school due to poverty, yet I and others in my family graduated college. Be a SPORT and don’t demean people on an anonymous forum; same goes for those calling people stupid, uninformed and uneducated.
