Anna Lee Forbes Ledford, age 80 of Bill Jones Rd., Jonesborough, TN went home to be with the Lord, April 20, 2024. She was a native of Avery County, NC and a daughter of the late Wiley and Texie Woody Forbes.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Jonesborough, TN. Her hobbies included working puzzles, tending her flowers, and crochet. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family.
Survivors include 6 daughters: Patty Hensley (Drew), of Spruce Pine, NC, Kimberly Callahan (Gwynn), of Bakersville, NC, Angela Radford (Allen), of Morganton, NC, Teresa Edwards (Ronnie), of Jonesborough, TN, Revonda Carpenter (Greg), of Bakersville, NC, and Linda Forbes (Carl), of Bakersville, NC, three sisters: Irene Fisher, of Spruce Pine, NC, Jenny Cook, of Marion, NC, and Lucy Lanning (Robert), of Nebo, NC, one sister in law Marie Ledford, special family member Dennis McClellan, grandchildren: Sara Nash, Heather Ayers, Mary Callahan, Greg and Charlie Radford, Matthew Edwards, Allen and Jeremy Carpenter, Kelsey, Samantha, and JJ Riddle, and Brianna Ledford, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her son Randy Ledford, sisters: Lottie Davis, Mildred Buchanan, and Kathleen Buchanan, and her brothers: Carroll Forbes and Jack Forbes.
Funeral services will be held in Fairview Baptist Church Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 2:00PM with Reverend Nathan Parker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
