Nellie Grace Silver, born on September 6, 1936, passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2024.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Ruby Fender Silvers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Claude Silver; brother, Stanley Silvers; and sister, Marie Silvers.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Venita (Dwight) K. Higgins of Charlotte, NC, and Patricia (Allen) Boone of Burnsville, NC; brother, Ross Silvers; grandchildren: Tina, Tonya, Missy, Jessica, Christy, and Doug; as well as seventeen great-grandchildren.
Private family graveside services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on May 4, 2024, at the Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville, NC. Reverend Blair Harvey and Reverend Chad Wise will be officiating.
