Paul Dean Cooper, age 75, passed away on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at Tucker Hospice in Kannapolis, NC.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late John and Mary Ledford Cooper. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Johnny and Bill Cooper. Paul was a hardworking man, working in construction most of his life.
Surviving is his daughter, Renee McCurry and husband, Kenneth, of Spruce Pine; son, Bryan Cooper and wife, Becky, of Burnsville; grandchildren: Kaleb McCurry (Bailey), Grayson McCurry (Becca), Emmalee McCurry, Bryson Cooper (Hannah), Brinkley Seaton (Zeke) Brooklyn Cooper and Brianna Cooper; great-grandchildren: Whitley McCurry and Bryar Seaton and two brothers: Gary Cooper and wife, Vanetta, of Asheville and Steve Cooper and wife, Frieda, of Travelers Rest, SC. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Private burial will be held in the Cooper Cemetery.
