Delores Ann Chambers Patton

Delores Chambers Patton, age 76, of the Prices Creek Community, passed away on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 at her home.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertie Houston Chambers.  She was also preceded in death by two husbands: Boyd Patton, Jr. and John Richard Maney; an infant son and two daughters: Pamela and Tracy.  Delores was also grateful for everything, especially her daughter Stacey for helping with her every day challenges. She respected everyone, never met a stranger and had a great work ethic.  Delores enjoyed cooking, animals, music, playing the piano, dancing, going to the beach and sunsets.  She especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her son, Jeffrey Patton and wife, Angie, of Burnsville; daughters: Rhonda Patton Merriman of Rutherfordton, Stacey Patton Weaver of Burnsville and Lisa Lee Gladhill and husband, Sean, of Weaverville; grandchildren: Amanda Whitson (Michael), Jennifer Miller (Donovan) Tabitha Raines (Christian), Patrick Merriman (Kara), Mark McDaris, Cody Weaver (Hailey), Hannah Blevins and Heidi Chandler (Austin); great-grandchildren: Chloe, Caroline, Tucker, Finn, Evelyn, Ali and Axell; brothers: Joe and Gilbert Chambers; sister, Cheryl Garren; her best friend, Chrissy Robinson; dog, Popeye and her cat, Sugar.  Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11th in the Jupiter Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pastor Robert Norris will officiate.
