Piedmont Natural Gas will be performing routine infrastructure maintenance in the area of 2490 US-19E in Spruce Pine, this week.
The work is expected to occur three separate times throughout the remainder of May and June, barring weather events that may impact the project timetable.
May 13 – 21, weekdays only.
June 4 – 12, weekdays only.
June 20 – 27
These operations will include the use of a flare stack (a large vertical pipe), which could produce a loud noise and result in a tall flame being visible to nearby neighborhoods and businesses. People in the area also may notice a whistling sound or the smell of natural gas.
