Guy Vincent Thomason, born on May 21, 1954, went Home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2024, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late William Otis and Helen Louise Ledford Thomason.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Thomason of Florida, brother, Gay Thomason, and an infant brother.
Guy was an avid fisher, hunter, and teller of tales. His stories will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Karen (Joe) Sinclair; son, Kevin (Jennifer) Thomason; brothers: Mack (Lucille) Thomason, and Buck (Tammy) Thomason; sisters: Ruth Austin of Barnardsville, Revonda (David) Davis of Asheville, and Eloise (Will) White of Maggie Valley; grandchildren: Samantha (Luke) Bryant of Burnsville, and Logan Thomason of Burnsville; and great-granddaughter, Abby Grace Bryant.
Funeral services will begin with a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. The service will be held the following day on Friday, May 24, 2204, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Ledford-Adkins Cemetery in Burnsville. Reverend Buck Thomason, Reverend Earl McPeters, and Reverend Arnold Buchanan will be officiating.
