President Biden’s inaction regarding the securing of the border is a real and present national security threat – there’s no doubt about it. Today, I’m bringing you some fresh details on what continues to transpire at the southern border, as well as painting a larger picture that shows the real gravity of this catastrophe. Just when you thought that things could not get worse, more comes to light. Let’s dive in.
To start, here’s a short excerpt from Fox News that details how many Chinese Communist nationals have made their way into the United States recently:
“Customs and Border Protection updated its encounter numbers for April, showing that now there have been 27,583 encounters of Chinese nationals by Border Patrol this fiscal year, which began in October…This means there has been a 7,965% increase from FY 2021 in numbers of Chinese crossing illegally. Of the 27,583 so far this FY 2024, 23,622, or 85%, were single adults.”
If that’s not jarring to you, consider the fact that over 350 individuals on the terrorist watch list have attempted to cross the southern border under President Biden’s watch. In FY2024 alone, 75 individuals on the terrorist watch list have been stopped at various ports of entry at the southern border. Sadly, there’s something else that is equally as concerning that I’m about to share with you. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has now admitted that 40% – yes, 40% – of catch-and-release illegal aliens have disappeared into the United States.
House Republicans have already passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023, the most comprehensive piece of border legislation in our nation’s history. The U.S. Senate should follow both our lead and our example and pass it immediately. By reinstating President Trump’s successful border policies, the border catastrophe would be put to an end, and fast. You can rest assured that I will continue to serve as a strong voice for border security – as I always have – and fight to ensure that our nation’s border security posture is not compromised by inaction or delay.

A new scam has appeared in the 5th District, and it’s one you should know about. In Wake Forest, a man who was recently involved in a car accident received a phone call from an individual posing as a police officer – and was told he would need to send money via a mobile app due to missing an alleged court date relating to his accident. According to Bill Crabtree, the spokesman for the Wake Forest Police Department, these scammers are accessing public record databases to gather information on potential victims.
