The Bakersville Small Business Center, located at 80 Hemlock Drive in Bakersville is taking applications for business startups to rent space in Bakersville. The Bakersville Small Business Center is a nonprofit organization focused on helping new businesses get off the ground by providing space, educational tools, and mentoring so that businesses have a leg up on success. The Bakersville Small Business Center is beginning the program in Bakersville but hopes to grow the program to include Spruce Pine and surrounding counties.
