Madison County authorities have busted a multi-state breaking-and-entering ring with the arrest of three people. There have been numerous vehicle and residential burglaries over the past several weeks, that the sheriff’s office has been investigating. The thefts occurred from the Laurel community of Madison County and around Mars Hill. After numerous surveillance and undercover operations, three individuals from Tennessee, were arrested.
According to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, “These three individuals are responsible for countless vehicular break-ins and firearm thefts in four different states,” These individuals would rent an Airbnb’s in other states or counties and would then begin terrorizing any communities nearby. They recently rented an Airbnb in Barnardsville and targeted Madison County.”
Noah Lee Runyon, age 18, was arrested and charged with 24 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, four counts of larceny of a firearm, five counts of felony larceny, two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of financial card theft and seven counts of misdemeanor larceny. Runyon has a secured bond of $363,500.
Kevin Phillip Craig, age 38, was arrested and charged with 14 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of larceny of a firearm, one count of felony larceny, one count of financial card theft and four counts of misdemeanor larceny. Craig has a secured bond of $274,000.
Breanna Nicole Leach, age 18, was arrested and charged with 11 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of felony larceny, two counts of breaking and entering, 1 count of financial card theft and four counts of misdemeanor larceny. Leach has a secured bond of $162,000.
