Gerald Gurley, age 61, of Roan Mountain, TN, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Life Care Center in Elizabethton, TN.
Born on July 2, 1962 in Richmond County, NC, he was the son of the late Charles and Madge Thomas Gurley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Curtis Richard Gurley and Jody W. Gurley.
Gerald attended the Big Crabtree Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on small engines and loved animals. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing pool and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons; Lance Gurley of Spruce Pine and Charles Richard Gurley, II; his brother; Wesley Gurley of Spruce Pine; his sister; Pennie L. Hensley of Marion; his grandchildren; Amelia and Noah Gurley; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, no services will be planned.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton for their exceptional care of Gerald during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Webb Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
