Free Home Remedies Community Clinic July 20th at the Sizzlin’ Summer Series

Come unwind this summer at the FREE Home Remedies Community Clinic on Saturday, July 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm during the Sizzlin’ Summer Series. This outdoor clinic on the Burnsville Town Square will allow you to sample a variety of FREE wellness services and classes from local providers that can help reduce pain and stress.

Everyone is welcome to try services like acupuncture, therapeutic massage, tai chi, and yoga provided by local practitioners. Plus, you can learn more about the Home Remedies Program, the FREE online course, and the voucher program. The event will be held on the Burnsville Town Square and is free to everyone.

If you can’t make it to this Community Clinic, there are two more clinics scheduled this year at TRACTOR Food & Farms on August 17th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and at the Rise Up! Recovery Rally on Upper Street in Spruce Pine on August 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Home Remedies program offers community-based options to address pain and stress. The focus of the program is to provide proven, effective, and safe options to improve quality of life, with a goal of preventing and/or reducing the use of medications. The community clinics are an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience wellness practices and services available in our community at no cost.

The Home Remedies Program also offers free, online courses with strategies for pain management and stress reduction, presented by local complementary health providers. These practices include physical therapy, massage, mindfulness, examination of thought patterns, nutrition, and tai chi. This course is freely available to access at your own pace and convenience.

Mitchell and Yancey residents can also earn a packet of vouchers equivalent to $400 for a series of individual treatment services. To sign up for the online classes, learn more about the Home Remedies program and events, visit www.path-homeremedies.org, or call (828) 214-7885.
