Looking for something fun to do with the kids this Summer? Parkway Playhouse has a full lineup of upcoming youth programs!
Showing July 19th at 6:30pm, July 20th at 6:30pm, and July 21st at 2:30pm, Parkway Playhouse Junior is cooling off with their production of Disney’s Frozen JR! This production will feature Parkway Playhouse Junior Students ages 10-18 and is directed by Jenny Martin, with music direction by Melanie Veazey, and choreography by Collin Eten. In August, join Parkway Playhouse for their lineup of FREE Reading is Alive performances! Their 2024 program is Tricky, Tricky Trickster Tales, produced in partnership with Attic Salt Theatre, Penland School of Crafts, and the Avery-Mitchell-Yancey Libraries. During this FREE show, kids will make a FREE craft, and receive a FREE book! Their lineup includes: August 3rd at 10am at Spruce Pine Pocket Park; Saturday, August 3rd at 1pm at Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair; Monday, August 5th at 5pm at The Hive in Spruce Pine.
Mark your calendars, registration for Parkway Playhouse Junior’s Fall events opens on July 15, 2024! Anastasia Youth Edition will take place from August 24-November 16, 2024 for students ages 12-18. Frog and Toad KIDS will take place from October 5-December 6, 2024 for students ages 6-11. Parkway Playhouse Power Chords, a new teen show choir group will take place from September 9-December 11, 2024 for students ages 11-18 by audition only. Fall Voice Lesson registration will also open on July 15, 2024. This 31-week class offers high-quality vocal instruction to Parkway Playhouse Students helping them prepare for a future in the performing arts.
