Kenneth Joe Ledford age 70 of Rabbit Hop Road Spruce Pine passed away Thursday July 18, 2024, at the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine after a hard-fought battle against cancer.
Born March 5, 1954, he was a son of Frances McMahan Ledford and the late Ivan Ledford.
Kenneth attended Harris High School and worked for 30 plus years for Henredon and then Ethan Allen until his retirement. Kenneth was a lifelong member of Big Crabtree Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, classic cars and visiting with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother Frances Ledford, a daughter Amber Leverette Anderson and husband Dayne, three grandchildren, Sophie Leverette, Mason Leverette and T.S. Anderson. He also leaves behind a sister Loretta Glenn and two brothers, Ray Ledford and wife Wanda and David Ledford and wife Alma. Kenneth was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Ledford will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday July 27, 2024, at the Big Crabtree Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Rathbone and Dean Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Big Crabtree Baptist Church cemetery.
