Blue Ridge Partnership for Children receives a $608,000 grant. The grant, which is from The Duke Endowment, will be distributed over three years and used to fund Blue Ridge Healthy Families, which is their home visiting support program. Blue Ridge Partnership for Children is a nonprofit organization that operates in Avery, Mitchell and Yancey counties. These funds will be used to fund the expansion of their comprehensive early childhood programs into Madison and Buncombe counties. Blue Ridge Healthy Families will serve approximately 20 new families in the first year with no cost to the families.
