Jamie Dewayne Banks, age 46, left this world on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at his home.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Phyllis Stansberry Banks.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as two aunts.
Jamie was a true outdoorsman and had a connection with nature. He loved camping and four-wheeling. He was a deep thinker who relished his quiet time, and from this he did a lot of writing, journaling and poetry.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Matthew Cole Banks Hughes of Burnsville, as well as two brothers, two uncles, one aunt, cousins and many friends.
