P.E.O. Chapter T of Spruce Pine welcomed Catherine Reeves (front row, center) recently as a new member. Catherine is active in Mitchell and Yancey Counties through her volunteer support of Toe River Arts and Ave Maria Food Pantry. “You Add To P.E.O.” (Philanthropic Educational Organization) is an initiative in the US and Canada to add two or more new members to each chapter by February 2025.
The Spruce Pine chapter of P.E.O. was founded in1970 and provides scholarships for local girls and women pursuing their educational goals. P.E.O. International has been celebrating “women helping women reach for the stars” for more than 150 years.
