Adam Q. Fisher, Jr., age 88, of Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on April 20, 1936 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was the son of the late Adam Q. Fisher, Sr. and the late Althea Ferry Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Fisher who passed away in 2013. He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Chandler and a daughter, Judy Hefner.
Adam was a member of St. Lucien Catholic Church in Spruce Pine and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Prior to retirement, he had been the kitchen manager of City Drive-In in Spruce Pine.
He loved spending time with his wife, Edna. In his spare time, he enjoyed assembling model air planes, gem mining and going to the beach.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter; Cathy Marlowe of Marion; his grandson; Danny Marlowe and wife, Angie of Spruce Pine; his granddaughter; Christy Marlowe Kirby and husband, Matt of Marion; four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Western North Carolina Veteran’s Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC.
