Monlesa “Lisa” Robinson Hall

Lisa, a native of Yancey County, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Her father, Gene Robinson; brother, Randall Robinson; stepdaughter, Johnna Hall; grandparents, Fred and Este Penland; and beloved Aunt Ethel Turner preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John Hall of Burnsville; daughter, Amanda Hall and husband, Ian Luther, of Candler, NC; stepson, Terry Hall and wife, Susan of Burnsville, NC; step-grandsons: Andrew Hall and wife, Sidney, of Arden, NC, and Ryan Briggs and wife, Kayla, of Spruce Pine, NC; mother, Camilee Robinson of Burnsville, NC; sister, Barbara Robinson and husband, Larry, of Asheville, NC; brother, Terry Robinson and wife, Holly, of Raleigh, NC; several nieces and nephews; and the pride and joy of her life, her grandsons: Bodhi and Wesley Luther.

Lisa graduated from Cane River High School as the reigning homecoming queen of 1972.  Shortly after graduation, she began a lifelong career at Baxter Healthcare in Marion, NC.  She retired from Baxter in 2022 after 40 years of service.  Baxter was like a second home to Lisa, where many lasting friendships were made.  Lisa loved spending her summers in her pool and rose garden, in addition to traveling, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and everything Elvis Presley.

Lisa’s visitation will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 2191 Possum Trot Road, Burnsville, NC  28714, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, with a brief service officiated by Rev. Jimbo Seaton to follow.  The burial procession will then travel to Will Young Cemetery at 795 NC-80, Burnsville, NC  28714, for a graveside service.
