He loved the beaches of Cape Cod and Florida, however, upon his retirement, Jim and Barbara found their true calling in the Mountains of North Carolina.

Jim was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a cherished deacon, friend and Gideon who loved his church family. He enjoyed opening up the school every morning and greeting the children as they arrived.

He took great pride in being a member of the Gideon International family serving as Chaplin in the Mitchell County camp.

A special thank you to Rick Wiseman who was Jim’s confidant, best friend and special brother in Christ.

The whole Macomber family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
