June Kathleen Randolph, age 89, went Home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2024, in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Born on June 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mack Dewey Randolph and Ruby McIntosh Randolph of Burnsville, North Carolina.
June married her beloved husband of 60 years, Carl Jackson Randolph, on October 15, 1954. The couple moved to Fort Mill in 1967 where they built their life together surrounded by family. She was a constant, positive force in the lives of her nieces and nephews; most notably her nephew, Randy, and his family who cherished living next door to their “Aunt” for more than 30 years. June was known for her strong will, generosity, and love for her family and community. She was a faithful member of both Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Mill and the Order of the Eastern Star.
June took special joy in admiring nature, tending to her yard, and reminiscing about growing up in the mountains. She was a lover of all animals, especially birds and her loyal Maltese poodle, Dillon. June’s infectious smile will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Janette Roper of Burnsville, NC, and Nina (Wayne) McCurry of Fort Mill, SC; nephew, Randy (Ann) McCurry of Fort Mill, SC and their daughters: Devan McCurry of Fort Mill, SC, and Brooke (Tony) Bono of Charleston, SC; niece, Diane Hood of Fort Mill, SC; nephews: Dallas Presnell, Doug Presnell, Phil Presnell of Rock Hill, SC, Kelly Wilson of Burnsville, NC, Furlon Lewis of Morganton, NC, and Terry Lewis of Newton-Conover, NC; and numerous other great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, as well as siblings: Martha Presnell, Daphne Wilson, Phyllis Randolph, and Haskel Lewis.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing that June lived a full life and she is no longer suffering. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life service at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church at 333 U.S. Highway 21, Fort Mill, South Carolina on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Randolph-McIntosh Cemetery in Burnsville, NC.
