Linda Robinson Edge, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Burnsville on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Born on May 31, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Robert Howard Robinson and Georgia Viola Jones Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Ray Edge; brothers: Bobby Robinson and Carroll Robinson; and sister, Edna Eckard.
Linda loved reading, gardening, cooking, and taking care of her family. She retired from the I.R.S. and was the first female field agent in her Hickory office.
Surviving are her son, Billy Ray Edge, Jr. and wife, Shannon; grandchildren: Cory, Brett, Reese, Jackson, their spouses, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jerelean Wilson; brother, Randell Robinson and wife, Debbie; and lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Holcombe Brothers Cemetery on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice or any Hurricane Helene relief effort.
