Robert Vincent Ogle, age 70, of the Cattail Community, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at his home. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Ralph Vincent and Edith Barnett Ogle. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Wayne Ogle; three sisters: Eva Mae Griffith, Anna Jean Wright and Brenda Kay Barnett; and a brother-in-law, Charles Neill Ellis.
Robert was a kind and generous man who adored all animals. He was a nature lover and enjoyed camping and traveling. His passion in life was music and he loved playing guitar and singing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are two sisters: Linda Sue Ellis of Burnsville and Cathy Silver (Bobby) of Spruce Pine, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Roberts life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2nd in the Eddie McMahan Cemetery on Pensacola Road. Rev. Skip Weiford will officiate.
