Arnetta Bennett, age 90, of Burnsville, finished her final journey and went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Arnetta was born on February 17, 1934, to the late Joe and Bonnie Edwards.
She cherished her family and was a homemaker enjoying gardening, cooking, sewing and reading. She also enjoyed her church family at Burnsville Faith Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Arnetta was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Hoyt, and is survived by her son, Steven (Pam) Bennett of Lincolnton, NC, her daughter, Amber (Richard) Cribbs of East Palatka, FL, three granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Luke) Brewer, Morgan (Jeffrey) Linker, and Kinsey Cribbs, and a great-granddaughter, Rosemary Linker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home in Burnsville, with a visitation at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at the Hunter Cemetery on Coxes Creek Road. Reverend Dwight Boone will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arnetta’s name to Burnsville Faith Baptist Church at P.O. Box 1028, Burnsville, NC 28714.
