Fairy Mae Carver, age 93, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024. A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Mary Greene Garland. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hollis McKinney, Sr., and her second husband, Roy Carver, and a grandson.
Fairy was a lady who worked hard as a bookkeeper for many businesses. She enjoyed listening to Rev. Jimmy Swaggart’s sermons and the music of Reba McEntire. She loved the solitude of being by herself at times. Her family was important to her, and she loved her siblings as much as her own children.
Surviving are her children: Sharon McKinney Moore and husband, James, and Hollis McKinney and wife, Amanda, all of York, PA; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and 8 great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, November 14th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Mike Peterson will officiate.
