Judith Arnn Knight

Judith Arnn Knight age 83 of Little Switzerland passed away Monday November 18, 2024, at the Greens of Spruce Pine. Born in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma she was a daughter of the late John Phillip and Grace Stevens Arnn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Joann Arnn.

Judith graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1959. She then attended Oklahoma University, first obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biology and then her Master of Library Science. Her first job was for Texas A&M in the science lab then she worked for the University of Texas as a library assistant, later she worked as the Medical librarian at the Wilford Hall medial library. She became the head of the Medcom library at Fort Sam Houston, then she helped close down the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Denver, CO. She then retired and moved to North Carolina. Judith was one of the founding members of the Imagination Library in Mitchell County, she served on the board of directors for the Partnership for Children and was an avid genealogist.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband of thirty-four years Ed Knight of the home, daughter Noreen Russell and husband James of Bandera, TX and a grandson, Kyle Broll also of Bandera, TX.

A gathering of friends will be Thursday November 21, 2024, from 3:00 until 4:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home.
