Fred Woodby, age 73, went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Donna Woodby. Together, they built a family filled with love and warmth.
Fred was a dedicated member and deacon of Borings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. As a loving father, he was full of faith, joy, and wisdom, dedicating his life to God and walking as a Christian, letting his light shine for others to find their way to God.
Fred is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Denise Baker and her husband Geno Baker, and Jennifer Kerley and her husband Tim Kerley of Connelly Springs. Neice Deirdre Caudill, Nephews Andrew Woodby, Phillip Caudill, Adam Caudill, Levi Caudill, and Gabriel Woodby who were more like children to him.
He also leaves behind one brother Ted Woodby and his wife Ann. Fred and Ted farmed together for over 60 years and were inseparable. He also leaves behind two sisters, Wanda Woodby, and Elizabeth Caudill and her husband Allen.
Fred was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Tracie Edwards, 30, Alan Kerley, 16, and Levi Kerley, 11, who brought immense joy to his life. Fred’s life was filled with love, faith, and dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family extends a special thank you to Rev. Dale Laws, pastor of Borings Chapel Church, as well as to Pastors Shawn Davis and wife Rebecca, Jamie Torres and wife Grace, and Victor Salvant and wife Jodie for their encouragement, songs, visits, and uplifting support. They also express heartfelt gratitude to Bennie and Katie for their love and friendship during this time.
Memorial service and celebration of life will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm at 1765 Byrd Branch Rd. All Friends and family are welcome to come.
