The Mitchell Miners wrestling team hosted its first ever home meet Tuesday vs. Avery and came away with plenty to be excited about. A packed home crowd saw Mitchell reel off four straight pins from Oscar Burleson, Caleb “Tank” Hansen, Cullen Sparks, and Eric Ramos to start the night. Avery answered with three pins and an exciting decision over Issac Crone, but Easton Trivette and David Arvizu sealed the win with pins to round out the scoring for the Miners in the 36-22 victory.
Next up for the Miners will be another home meet vs. Watauga on Thursday, December 5 at 7pm.
