Joe Warren Broughton, age 88 of Burnsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2025, leaving behind the legacy of a true family man and cowboy.
Born on September 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Joe Warren Broughton Sr. and Monna Joyce Gray Broughton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Broughton.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Deanna Joyce Broughton; sons: Dusty Broughton and Andy (Margaret) Broughton; sister, Joyce Bradshaw; grandchildren: Brianna Broughton, Liam Broughton, Amanda Turbes, Ashley Osterman, Tera Whittle, Samantha Causby, Razvan Matei; eight great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Reverend Randy Randolph will be officiating.
The family would like to thank two very special caretakers, Lyndsey Crowder and Sabrina Witt, who were completely devoted to the healthcare of Joe and Dee. Not only did they take care of them during a very challenging time, but they also created a heartwarming bond that could be seen by everyone around them.
