Jerry Scott Haney, age 53, of Upper White Oak, passed away on Monday, December 9th, 2024. He was the son of Sadie Self Dubois of Bakers Creek and the late Jerry Melvin Haney. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Mae Self. Scott loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the center of his heart. He was a giving, kind-hearted person who enjoyed being outdoors, especially digging ginseng and pulling galax.
Surviving in addition to his mother Sadie, is his brother, Mark Haney (Tina); sisters: Melanie Ballew (James) and Michelle Lee; cousins: Jeff Webb, Christy Self and Donna Self; nieces: Haley Horney, Bethany Ballew, Marisa McEntyre and Rory Jo McCool; nephews: Ethan Ballew and Jerry Haney; friends: Linda Brackins and Victoria Murphy; granddaughters: Harmony Murphy and Melody Cantrell and a special aunt, Lois Webb. Several other extended family members also survive.
