Lillian Nell Silvers, age 91 of Burnsville, NC, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at Madison Manor in Mars Hill, NC.
A native of Yancey County, Lillian was born on July 13, 1933, to the late Isaac and Madge Wheeler Randolph. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers: Buck Randolph, J.T. Randolph, Dexter Randolph; granddaughter, Amber Randolph McPeek; son-in-law, Paul Randolph; and infant grandson, Mark Silvers.
She is survived by her loving husband, R.L. Silvers, whom she was married to for 72 wonderful years; her son, Nelson Silvers, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Burnsville; and daughter, Nina Randolph, of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren: Jason Randolph and wife, Kerry, of Hampton, VA; Michael Silvers and wife, Aleisha Silvers, of Burnsville, and Jennifer Layell and husband, Justin, of Burnsville; great-grandchildren: Jaysen Randolph, Noah Randolph, Gabriel Silvers, and his wife, Emily, Timothy Silvers, Micaiah Silvers, Dominique Lopez, Reese Layell, Lilly Thacker, Axel McPeek, and Ace McPeek; and a grandson-in-law, Anthony McPeek, and his late wife, Amber.
Funeral services were at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.
Due to weather conditions, Interment was rescheduled. It will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the Silvers Family Cemetery at the following address: 1095 Silas Branch Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
