Kenneth Eugene ‘Kenny’ Schlabach

Kenneth Eugene Schlabach, 46, of Spruce Pine, NC, passed away from a hemorrhagic stroke Sunday, January 12, after a week-long battle for his life. His family had the privilege of being beside his bed after the nurses had removed care. His “upgrade” was utterly peaceful, and they worshiped through tears for the gift he was to them, as his great big heart beat more and more slowly, the last bit of life to go.

Kenny was born on December 29, 1978 in Clarksville TN, to Paul & Linda Schlabach. He grew up in Guthrie, KY and Bedford, PA. After graduation, Kenny went on to be a business entrepreneur. In his own words he struggled with a life-long condition known as “business diarrhea”.

Ken’s family and friends will remember his love of life, people, and fun. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and quick-witted humor. He always had a trip or two in his queue.
