The Yancey County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce a significant contribution from STAND T.A.L.L., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement in western North Carolina. In its first contribution to law enforcement in Yancey County, STAND T.A.L.L. has donated three K-9 Field Medical Kits to the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. These kits will help ensure the health and safety of the department’s hardworking K-9s during critical operations.
Additionally, STAND T.A.L.L. approved the Sheriff’s Office request for kennel lumber, two E-collars from Ray Allen, and rope-style Kong toys to further enhance the care and training of the K-9 unit.
Sheriff Shane Hilliard expressed his gratitude for the organization’s support: “The K-9 Unit plays a vital role in our mission to serve and protect Yancey County, and these contributions from STAND T.A.L.L. will make a tremendous impact. Their generosity and commitment to supporting law enforcement in western North Carolina is truly inspiring, and we are grateful to be part of their efforts.”
