Jewell Davis, age 66, of Bakersville, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 at Care Partners Solace Center. A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late Dempsie and Mary Ollis Davis. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Cox and Beulah Forbes; two brothers: Howard Davis and Walter Davis; and grandson, Isaac Coffey.
Jewell was a homemaker the majority of her life, where she spent most of her time preparing wonderful meals for her family and friends. Later in life, she fulfilled her goal of becoming a massage therapist. She attended Higher Ground Worship Center and loved her church and church family. Jewell had such a generous spirit and was always looking for ways to help and give to others.
Surviving is her daughter, April Coffey and husband, Scott of Hickory; granddaughter: Aleesha Coffey; and sisters: Carolyn Davis of Newland and Joyce Elrod of Tunnel Hill, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, February 21st at Yancey Funeral Services. No memorial service is planned at this time.
