Richard (Bobby) Byrd, age 66, of the Jacks Creek Community, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 9th, 2025. A native of Maryland, he was a son of Juanita Collins Byrd and the late Charles Lester Byrd. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Collins Byrd.
Bobby enjoyed playing the drums in his younger days. He loved being outdoors and the animals that dwelled there. His other interests include woodworking, painting, and tinkering with electronics. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, Juanita Collins Byrd, left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Sue Byrd Isom, Samuel J. Byrd, Drew Byrd, Duan Austin, Mary Louise Meadows, Ronnie J. Byrd and Larry Byrd. He is survived as well by a number of special nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance for friends and family will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 16 at Jacks Creek Baptist Church.
