On Monday morning, February 17, a male subject called in a bomb threat to McDowell County Communications involving the McDowell County Courthouse.

Tuesday afternoon, February 18, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office located a suspect in connection with that threat. Christopher Jaren Forney, age 30, of Marion, was taken into custody and charged with felony False Bomb Report Regarding a Public Building. He has been denied bond.
An arrest warrant has been issued for an additional suspect connected to the incident, David Russell Cash age 28, of Marion (pictured at top)
