Frances Hopson Hensley, age 85 of Burnsville, NC, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 17th, 2025. Born on October 21st,1939, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Noro Hopson.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her late husband Howard “Dee” Hensley; Brothers Harley, Herbert, Howard, Norman, and Carl Hopson. Sisters Irene Engle and Charlene Hensley.
Frances lived a life defined by love and service. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her heart into her family. Her faith guided her through years of dedicated service, teaching young voices in the church choir at North Bend Freewill Baptist Church and sharing biblical wisdom with the children in Sunday school. Her greatest personal joy was tending to her garden, with Lowe’s being her favorite destination for bringing her floral dreams to life.

Rickman, and Sharon (Gerald) Pendley and her brother Clifton Hopson. Her beloved Grandchildren; Andy(Amanda) Hensley, Beth (Chris) Sutherland, Justin (Victoria) Hensley, Jonathan (Emily) Hensley, Faith (Brian) Porter, Zach Hensley, and Will (Michelle) Hensley Great-grandchildren; Reed Hensley, Addison & Eden Sutherland, Jett & Memphis Hensley, Finn & Porter Hensley, Norma Jean & Annie Hensley.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Holcombe Brother’s Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm on Saturday February 22nd. Service will follow at 7:00 pm. .Burial will be held in the Peterson Hill Cemetery on Sunday, February 23rd at 2:00 pm. Rev. Philip Hughes, Rev. Marvin and Tommy Hensley will officiate.
